How Emmi Dent Works

The emmi®-dent piezo chip in the brush attachment generates up to 96 million oscillations per minute and works with a power of 0.2 watts.  When used in combination with the specially formulated ultrasonic toothpaste micro-bubbles are created that can penetrate even the smallest dental abrasions and gaps.  The ultrasonic oscillations cause these microbubbles to “implode” cleaning the hard to reach places in the mouth in the most effective and gentle way.

Benefits Of Emmi Dent

Daily dental care using the Emmi-dent ultrasonic toothbrush can provide a significant reduction of bacteria inside the oral cavity. This can help to prevent diseases such as periodontitis, gingivitis and apthous ulcers. Long lasting fresh breath is also guaranteed through less bacteria. The simple application of the ultrasonic toothbrush is also particularly well suited for children and people with disabilities. Even wearers of braces, bridges, implants or crowns can finally breathe easy, because the ultrasound procedure cleans reliably down to the smallest gaps.

The gentle micro-cleaning with ultrasound technology is also useful for people with sensitive teeth and gum problems.  Inflammations such as gingivitis and periodontitis are thus fought directly at the place of their origin:in the periodontal pocket. Even with halitosis, the ultrasonic toothbrush remedy by reducing bacteria to a healthy level. In addition, this toothbrush in conjunction with the specially formulated ultrasonic toothpaste, brings back the natural colour of your teeth bit by bit. The slightest discoloration caused by coffee, tea, wine or nicotine is removed and you get your white smile again.  You can intensify this effect by using emmi®-dent Whitening Ultrasonic Toothpaste.

How to Use An Ultrasonic Toothbrush

Our sophisticated ultrasound technology works almost without contact. Just guide the brush head slightly over the teeth.  You will need to wet the brush head and apply one of the emmi-dent ultrasonic toothpastes to the bristles.  Only the specially formulated Emmi-dent toothpaste can be used as it has been specifically designed to create millions of micro-bubbles to effectively clean your teeth.  One tube should last around six weeks when cleaning your teeth twice daily.

The bristles of emmi®-dent usually cover up to three teeth.  After a short stop – usually six seconds – move the ultrasonic toothbrush to the next tooth. With the Platinum series, a haptic and acoustic signal tells you when it’s time to move on. Repeat this process until all teeth have been cleaned. For heavy soiling or discoloration, a longer cleaning time is recommended. As with all other toothbrushes, brushing your teeth should take at least three minutes. After the cleaning process, it is recommended to brush away the dissolved dirt from the gums and from the teeth.

Why Choose Emmi Dent

Electric toothbrushes also known as rotary usually have round brushes that rotate alternately from left to right, sonic toothbrushes are equipped with elongated, vibrating heads. With 20,000 to 30,000 vibrations per minute, they achieve a much higher frequency than rotary brushes. Ultrasonic toothbrushes exceed this performance many times over: emmi®-dent achieves up to 96 million vibrations per minute.

Toothbrushes that operate with ultrasound are a revolution in the field of dental hygiene. Their crucial advantage over manual, rotary and sonic toothbrushes is that they function almost contactless and without mechanical pressure by transmitting vibrations. Thus, the entire oral cavity is thoroughly cleaned.  As a result, you can feel the significant improvement of your dental hygiene. Even after only one usage, your teeth will feel pleasantly smooth and clean – just like after a professional cleaning at the dentist’s.

What Do Dentists Say

When you go to the dentist for a professional dental cleaning your dentist uses ultrasound as the method for successfully removing tartar and other contaminants. However it differs to the ultrasound used in the emmi-dent toothbrush as dentists use a “hard” ultrasound which has a low frequency at a high power compared to emmi-dent which use a “soft” ultrasound with high frequency and low power. With emmi-dent you can safely use ultrasound technology daily from the comfort of home to achieve superior dental hygiene. Dentists such as Dr. Roland Streckbein,Director of the Institute of Dental Implantology (IZI) in Limburg an der Lahn, describes ultrasound as the “ultimate in efficient and contemporary teeth cleaning”.
